After combining data from each detector channel, a broad
spectral coverage exists from 520 to 3020 cm
(3.3 to 19.2 
m).
These consist of two bands, with band 1 in the region 520
through 1800 cm (5.6 to 19.2 m) and band 2 from 1800 to 3020
cm (3.3 to 5.6 m). Instrument
spectral resolution is 0.5 cm,
increasing to 1.0 cm after apodization
of the
data. Table 1 summarizes the
AERI specifications.
