WINTEX, Madison, WI
3/21/99:
- 15:19-17:59 First data period.
- Ran system calibrations.
- 19:37-21:00 Second data period.
- Summary: Weak aerosol layer observed between 3.5 - 4 km.
3/20/99:
- 15:50-17:12 CST First data period.
- Ran system calibrations.
- 19:02-21:15 CST Second data period.
- Summary: Aerosol layer from surface to 1.8 km, where
we have seen the occasional water cloud.
3/18/99: Updated 17:54 CST:
- 11:15 CST Had a small leak in etalon cell and a data system crash
during a calibration scan.
- 14:00 Data Starts. Web page is now being updated every 5 minutes
with values of backscatter cross section and aerosol depolariztion.
- 16:40 Data Ends.
- Summary: Started a little late due to mechanical problems,
otherwise everything was working well. Observed a fairly clear
boundry layer to about 1.1 km with the occasional thin
water could at the top of the BL. Otherwise it was very
clear from 2-15 km. A very weak aerosol layer was observed at 2.8 km.
